I embarred myself in front of my crush?

so I am a junior and I am in cross country and my crush is also in it as well. I'm a pretty decent runner, I'm not super good but I'm not bad either. Well today we were doing this run which was about 5 miles and I was in the front of the group. Well I had to stop because both my shoes were untied, and there are these girls in my group who are always lazy and never do the full run...(one of these girls happens to like the same guy as me) so as I was tying my shoe they ped me sprinting all the way back. just as that happened...my crush and his group came running by and he just gave me a weird look cause I was way behind my group. I wanted to impress him etc... but now I look really slow in front of him, and he probably thinks that other girl is faster than me when shes not (shes just a slacker) I know this doesn't sound really embaring but trust me, its embarring to me cause me and this other girl are basically competing for him...any advice? and yes she knows I like him and purposely sped up to make me look slow.
