He's upset because he can't play drums any more and because you didn't sympathise with him. It's hard being sympathetic to siblings because there is a natural sense of competitiveness. But try and understand your brother's disappointment and let him know you are on his side. Even if you just say you're sorry he can't play drums any more and that it sucks for him.
