Moved from cold to warm climate-how long will my dog shed excessively???

Moved Rottweiler from Seattle WA to SW Florida 5/17/08- difference in daily temp of 40-50 degrees... my dog walks through the house & hair just falls... I brush her daily and wash twice a month. ( I think she should be bald by now, but still has a beautiful thick coat....) Any other suggestions? I am developing OCD & the broom is becoming a 3rd arm... I sweep 10 times a day!! Help!
